Everyone likes Tilapia, specially at this time of year for Lint. This fish is inexpensive and it does not have bones, skin, and that fishy taste. It is also easy to prepare. As great as it sounds, sadly there is a down side to this fish. It turns out that tilapia is even more disastrous for your health than some of the notorious meat, including pork and beef.
The tilapia we buy and consume is a cultivated fish and no supermarket or a restaurant has wild tilapia on its menu.
The major problem with the tilapia that comes from the stores is that it comes from factory farms, farms where tilapia is fed an unnatural, unhealthy diet that includes soy pellets and GMO corn, instead of the delicious algae and plants it would eat in the wild.
